WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC?

According to The Association of Chiropractic Colleges, “Chiropractic is a health care discipline which emphasizes the inherent recuperative power of the body to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery. The practice of chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure (primarily the spine) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system), and how that relationship affects the preservation and restoration of health.” Chiropractic is a holistic form of physical medicine focused on decreasing nervous interference on the body in order to allow it to heal and operate correctly.

What is the goal of Chiropractic?

Some individuals incorrectly assume that chiropractors treat only neck and back problems because chiropractic treatments are mainly focused on the spinal region. While we do quickly and effectively eliminate neck and back pain, it’s not the only goal. The objective is to restore and optimize human health. According to a statement from the Association of Chiropractic Colleges, “The purpose of chiropractic is to optimize health.” Our goal at Living Well Family Chiropractic is to optimize health through balancing the body holistically by correcting it structurally, chemically, and mentally.
