Common Questions and Answers

Can chiropractic care help runners with back pain?
Yes. Chiropractic care can help runners improve alignment, mobility, and recovery. Many running injuries begin with small imbalances in the spine, hips, knees, or feet. Gentle chiropractic adjustments can help restore proper motion so runners move more efficiently, reduce pain, and lower the risk of future injuries. As an ultramarathon runner himself, Dr. Nate has seen firsthand how powerful chiropractic care can be for runners and athletes. He understands the physical stress that training puts on the body and works with everyone from sprinters to ultramarathon runners.

One of Dr. Nate’s first ultramarathon runners came into the office years ago limping and unsure if he would ever be able to run again. After being adjusted and cared for, he was able to line up and complete a 50-mile race the very next weekend.

Whether you are training for your first 5K, competing in track, or preparing for an ultramarathon, Living Well Family Chiropractic helps runners and athletes in Chelan move better, recover better, and stay in the sport they love.
Can a chiropractor help with back and neck pain?
Yes. Chiropractors specialize in helping people with back pain and neck pain. By improving spinal alignment and joint motion, chiropractic care can help reduce pressure, calm irritation, improve movement, and support the body’s natural healing process.
Do you treat auto accident injuries?
Yes. Auto accidents often cause hidden injuries like whiplash, headaches, spinal misalignment, and soft tissue damage. Even if symptoms do not show up right away, the body may still be dealing with injury. Chiropractic care can help restore movement, reduce pain, and support safe recovery after a collision.
What makes Living Well Family Chiropractic different?
We take a holistic approach. Instead of only focusing on symptoms, we look at the whole person. That includes physical stress, nutritional needs, and emotional stress that may be affecting healing, recovery, and performance. Our goal is to help you feel better and function better.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Yes. Chiropractic care is widely used as a non-invasive option for many muscle, joint, and spine-related problems. Our care is gentle, personalized, and based on what fits the individual patient best.
Can chiropractic care improve athletic performance?
Yes. When the spine and joints are moving well, the body usually performs better. Many athletes use chiropractic care to support mobility, recovery, balance, coordination, and injury prevention.
How quickly will I feel results from chiropractic care?
Many patients notice a difference quickly, sometimes even after the first visit. That said, long-standing issues or more complex problems often take more time and a proper care plan to fully improve.
Can chiropractic help headaches and migraines?
Yes. Many headaches are linked to tension, poor movement, or misalignment in the neck and upper back. Chiropractic care may help restore normal movement and reduce the frequency and intensity of some headaches.
Do you work with families and active adults?
Yes. We care for athletes, runners, active adults, families, and people looking for natural ways to support long-term health. Our goal is to help people stay active and feel their best.
Do you offer natural health and nutrition guidance?
Yes. In addition to chiropractic care, we also help patients look at nutrition and lifestyle factors that may be affecting healing, energy, recovery, and overall wellness.

Ready to Get Out of Pain and Get Back to Living?

Whether you are dealing with back pain, neck pain, a runner injury, headaches, or recovery after an auto accident, Living Well Family Chiropractic is here to help.

Do you accept insurance for chiropractic care?
Living Well Family Chiropractic operates as a direct-pay practice, which allows us to focus on what patients truly need to get better rather than being limited by insurance restrictions. Many insurance plans limit the type or number of treatments that are covered. By not working directly through insurance, we are able to provide care based on your health goals rather than insurance rules.

For patients who want to submit to insurance, we can provide a superbill that you can send to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Some plans reimburse the full amount, some reimburse part, and others may not reimburse depending on your plan and deductible.

We also accept HSA and FSA cards, which many patients use for their care. Additionally, we often offer a New Patient Special to help make your first visit more affordable. In many cases, follow-up visits are similar to or even less than typical insurance copays.

The one exception is auto accident cases, where we do work with auto insurance when appropriate.
What is muscle testing and how does it help?
Muscle testing, also known as Applied Kinesiology, is a method chiropractors use to evaluate how the body is functioning. By gently testing specific muscles, we can gather information about stress patterns in the body including structural issues, nutritional imbalances, and other factors that may affect health.

This approach helps identify underlying causes of problems rather than only treating symptoms. It allows care to be more personalized and targeted to what your body specifically needs to heal and function better.
What is Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)?
Neuro Emotional Technique, often called NET, is a gentle method used to help the body release unresolved emotional stress that may be affecting physical health. Stress and emotional experiences can sometimes become stored in the nervous system and contribute to tension, pain, or other health challenges.

NET helps identify these stress patterns and allows the body to release them naturally. Many patients report feeling more relaxed, balanced, and better able to heal after this process.
What is Nutrition Response Testing?
Nutrition Response Testing is a natural method used to evaluate how different organs and systems of the body are functioning. Through muscle testing, we can identify areas of nutritional stress or imbalance that may be affecting energy, recovery, digestion, and overall health.

Once these areas are identified, personalized nutrition and whole-food support can be recommended to help the body restore balance and function more effectively.
What happens during the first chiropractic visit?
Your first visit is designed to understand your health concerns and goals. We begin with a conversation about your symptoms, health history, and lifestyle. From there we perform a thorough evaluation that may include posture analysis, movement testing, and muscle testing.

Based on this information, we determine the best approach to help your body heal and function better. Many patients are able to begin care on the first visit.
